Plumbers

Burst pipe at 9pm. Whose number do they find?

Toflin builds websites, runs Facebook and Instagram and gets Google reviews coming in for plumbers across Lanarkshire. Emergency calls and bathroom jobs both start with a search.

How customers pick plumbers

Plumbing work comes in two kinds. There’s the panic call, where someone’s got water through the ceiling and phones the first plumber on the map who looks real. Then there’s the planned job, a new bathroom or a boiler swap, where they take their time, read reviews and compare.

You need to win both. For the panic call, that’s your Google profile: the right categories, opening hours that tell the truth, a phone number that works on a tap, and recent reviews. For the planned job, it’s your website and your Facebook page: photos of finished bathrooms, what you do and don’t do, and proof you turn up.

What your website and Google profile need

  • Tap-to-call number at the top of every page
  • Clear list of what you do: leaks, bathrooms, boilers, unblocking, whatever it is
  • Whether you do emergency call-outs, and when
  • Your SNIPEF membership or Gas Safe registration, if you have them
  • The towns you cover, by name
  • Real photos and reviews

What to post

  • Before and after shots of bathrooms
  • The worst bit of pipework you found this week
  • Quick tips: where your stopcock is, what to do in a freeze
  • Reviews, screenshotted and shared

Or send me the photos and I’ll do it. That’s what the social media plans are for.

Straight answers.

Should I list emergency call-outs on my Google profile?

Only if you really do them. If you list 24 hours and don’t answer, the bad reviews will follow. Be honest about your hours and Google will still show you.

Do I need Gas Safe on my website?

If you work on gas, yes. Customers check, and it’s a legal requirement to be registered. Show your number so they can look you up.

I mostly do bathrooms. Should my site say that?

Yes. Being clearly the bathroom plumber gets you better jobs than being another general plumber.

Do you charge per lead or take a cut of my jobs?

No. No lead fees and no commission. You pay a set price, and every price is published on the pricing page.

Want your phone ringing more?

Have a look at the prices, or give me a ring. I’m Tony, and I answer the phone myself.
