Lesmahagow trades: you’re on the M74. Market like it.
Toflin does websites, Facebook and Instagram, Google reviews and ads for trades in Lesmahagow, Kirkmuirhill, Blackwood, Coalburn and Boghead.
Gow folk know their own
Lesmahagow’s had a priory since monks set it up in 1144. The Highland Games at Glebe Park every June are free to get in and pull a crowd from all over. It’s the kind of place where folk would rather give the work to somebody from the village.
That only works if they can find you. When someone in Kirkmuirhill or Blackwood needs a plumber, they might not know you live round the corner. They’ll Google it and phone whoever comes up.
Use the motorway
Being right on the M74 is a big plus for a trade. You can be in Hamilton, Larkhall or Lanark in no time. Your marketing should say you cover all of them, not just Lesmahagow. If your website and Google profile only mention ‘Gow’, you’re invisible to everyone else.
Customers from Coalburn and Douglas often search for Lanark, and folk from Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill often search for Larkhall. Get those names onto your profile and website.

Questions from Lesmahagow businesses
Should I put Lesmahagow or Lanark on my Google profile?
Your address is wherever you’re based. But your service area can include Lanark, Larkhall, Hamilton and the rest, so you show up when people there search.
Can you help with a Facebook page I set up years ago and never used?
Yes. Most pages I start with are like that. We tidy it up, fill in the details and start posting regularly.
How long does a website take?
Usually a couple of weeks once I’ve got your photos and details. I’ll give you a date before we start.
Can you guarantee me the top of Google?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. What I can do is sort the things Google looks at for local searches: your profile, your reviews and your website.
